James L. Hawk, 75 of Findlay died at 10:17 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born in Lakeview, Ohio on December 28, 1936 to the late O.E. and Eithel (Tumbleson) Hawk. On October 12, 1963 he married Joanne James and she survives, along with three daughters; Teresa (Mike) Ricksecker of Jenera, Tamara (Jeff) Kepling of McComb and Tonya (Steve) Johnson of Rawson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Stephanie, Nickolas and Logan Kepling, Tyler and Tacia Frost, Harley and Haleigh Johnson, Amie and Miki Ricksecker, Bill and Siobhan Ricksecker, one great-grandchild, Emma Ricksecker, one sister, Shirley Wagler of Leipsic and his beloved dogs, Dixie, Pixie and Daisy. He was preceded in death by his sister Glenda Knief and two infant brothers. James was a 1954 graduate of Leipsic High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He worked for Bill Jones Garage in Leipsic, Jim Herrin Auto in Findlay, Gene Stevens Auto, Auto Zone and Treadway Chrysler in Findlay. James also served on the Leipsic Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff's Auxiliary. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 1:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Wade Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Powell Cemetery.
