Cleora E. Schaller

Cleora E. Schaller, 94, of rural Bluffton passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born on November 3, 1917, to the late Monroe "Roy" and Lona (Winkler) Hoffer in Bluffton. She married Henry W. Schaller on March 22, 1941, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1981. She is survived by daughter, Joyce Schaller of Bluffton and brother-in-law, George Huser of Pandora, OH. Cleora was also preceded in death by brothers: J. Frederick and Roy Hoffer and sister, Rachel Huser. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. Cleora worked for and retired from Triplett Corporation in Bluffton. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jenera. Cleora loved being around her nieces and nephews, was a "special grandma" to Drew, Erin, and Derek, and loved her Yorkie, Baxter. She also enjoyed the Bluffton Senior Center, Polka Dancing, and playing cards. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, where visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor's Alois Schmitzer III and Jeffery Bolwerk will officiate and burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
