Joan Marie Foreman
1941 - 2012
printable version
Joan Marie (Pilcher) Foreman, 70, of Findlay went to be with her Savior on June 22, 2012, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was a humble, faithful servant of God and will be greatly missed by her family and the hundreds of people she has touched through her life. She was born on December 10, 1941, in Terre Haute, IN to Leo and H. Louise (Bates) Pilcher, who preceded her to heaven as well as her brother, Jimmy, who was killed in an accident at Glenwood Junior High in 1956. She married Jack R. Foreman on June 21, 1959, and he survives. She was a Findlay High graduate and a retired medical office manager.
She is also survived by three children: Beth (Jim) Gault of Findlay, Roger (Bruce Harkey) Foreman of Columbus, and Kevin (Rachel) Foreman of North Baltimore; four grandchildren: Amanda, Matthew, Micah and Jesiah; and one soon to be great-granddaughter to be named after her.
Joan was a life long member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She ministered to and loved every person she met as a living, faithful example of Jesus. She loved butterflies which represented to her new life found in Jesus. Butterflies will be released at the graveside to symbolize the new life that she now has with her Lord.
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 & 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where there will be an hour (10-11 a.m.) of visitation prior to the service at the church. Reverend Greg Creech will officiate and burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Madison Twp., Hancock County, OH.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Faith Academy of Findlay Fund, Cancer Patient Service and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice, St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made via www.coldrencrates.com.

We grieve with you and cover you in prayer We cannot think about Joan without recognizing that she went to the well of Living Water let down her spiritual bucket and drew it up never being disappointed in what the Lord had provided She did life based on God's will God's way and was an example of a life sold-out for God One of the last times I Carol was priviledged to serve alongside her was at a Community dinner and we made cole slaw dressing together It is a cherished memory She is in my journal of Godly women the Lord has brought in to my life May the words of those who share with their memories of Joan and those of your own help to heal and comfort you in your next days months and years
