Margie M. Slayter, 86, of Arlington, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on May 1, 2012 at her residence. She was born on January 28, 1926, in Fostoria to the late Lee and Gretchen (Ulrich) Lusk. She married Harry E. Slayter on April 15, 1942, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1970. Margie is survived by sons: Bill, Ralph (Sue), Bobby, James, and Bryan (Angie) Slayter; daughters: Norma Perkins, Linda Slayter, Becky (Don) Peterman, Janet (Tom) Peterman and Kathy (Joe) Lyon; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, June Pelton. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Slayter; a brother, Dale Lusk; a sister, Audrey Kimmett; a son-in-law, Luke Perkins; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Slayter. Margie was a homemaker and a member of Findlay Grace Brethren Church. She was an avid Indians, Tigers and Steelers fan. She was also a huge fan of Hannah Montana and Billy Ray Cyrus. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, with Reverend Chip Jones officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township. Visitation will be held 2 hours (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made in care of Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
